Here's the kind of project we love to do at Ichi Bike. A customer brought us his Surly Long Haul Trucker to convert to electric assist. We installed a mid drive motor and a 48V 14ah battery. A Kaddy Rack is used to hold the display and light. Throttle levers aren't very compatible with drop bars so we fabricated a mount that will allow the easy use of the throttle when your hand is on the brake hood. We then mounted the controller next to the throttle. Now this Surly will be ready for extra long hauls.
